Encouraging Signs

Below is a screen cap of this evening’s PEGIDA rally and march in Berlin.

I am encouraged by many of the flags and symbols I see at PEGIDA functions: many of them are monarchical, royalist, and/or explicitly (established) Christian. I was particularly heartened to see Constantine’s Labarum sign carried by a marcher in the screen cap (and not because it’s my moniker).

Emperor Constantine fought and conquered under that banner. It is thus a Christian battle standard in the fight against the heathen.

O ALMIGHTY God, King of all kings, and Governor of all things, whose power no creature is able to resist, to whom it belongeth justly to punish sinners, and to be merciful to those who truly repent; Restore, preserve and strengthen the royal and princely Houses of Europe and thy Church by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit; that we, being armed with thy defence, may be preserved evermore from the wickedness of the heathen, to glorify thee, who art the only giver of all victory; through the merits of thy Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
